Introduction:

Welcome to the Montana Math Webinars!

The introductory webinar will be:

Wednesday, January 21 at 11:05 a.m.  OR   Thursday, January 22 at 12:05 p.m.  The introductory webinar should last 15 minutes.  We are testing the equipment and software.

If these times do not work for you, the webinars will be archived.  The links to the archived webinars will be emailed to the group.

Webinar 1:

Welcome to the Montana Math Webinars!

The first webinar will be:


Wednesday, February 18 at 11:05 a.m.  OR   Thursday, February 19 at 12:05 p.m.  The webinar will last no longer than 45 minutes.  Each person will speak about their reflection for 2-3 minutes during the webinar.  The deadline for emailing the reflection to either Kathie or Kathy is FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13.

 

If these times do not work for you, the webinars will be archived.  The links to the archived webinars will be emailed to the group after the webinar.

What to do:

Before the next webinar (not the introductory webinar), you will:

1.      Read the newsletter.

2.      Select one of the activities in the newsletter to do with your classroom.

3.      OR – find another activity dealing with areas and/or volumes

4.      Do the activity with your students

5.      Fill out the reflection form.

6.      Email the reflection form by the deadline to either

        Kathie Daviau (daviauk@billingsschools.org ) if you are joining the Wednesday webinar at 11:05 a.m. webinar or

        Kathy Jackson (jacksonk@billingsschools.org ) if you are joining the Thursday webinar at 12:05 p.m. webinar

        If you are not able to attend either webinar, send the reflection form to both Kathie and Kathy. 

        The webinars will last 45 minutes, finishing 10 minutes before the hour.

7.      Attend the webinar at your choice of times.  The link will be emailed to you before the event. 

8.      You will not need to create a profile.  Enter as a guest.

9.      Be prepared to talk about the activity you did and your reflection of that activity.

10.   The links to the archived webinars will be emailed to the group.
