Montana ABLE

Career Pathways

Purpose:

Career Pathways are rapidly becoming a major theme in Montana Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE). Montana ABLE participated in the 2010-11 Career Pathways Initiative Institute sponsored by the Employment and Training Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor (https://learnwork.workforce3one.org/), and we will continue to build on the material and ideas that were presented to  strengthen our career pathway system for low-skilled adults and dislocated workers.

Currently all ABLE students are encouraged to develop a Personal Employment Plan (PEP Talk), and a Montana Bridge Program is under development. The Bridge Program will be integrated into existing ABLE curriculum to support student engagement, achievement, and transition as they explore subject matter that is relevant to their selected employment plan.
