Dear Montana Adult Educators: Spring is approaching and so is the Mountain Plains Adult Education Association annual conference. This year we are meeting in warm and sunny Arizona. Flights into Phoenix are reasonably priced, the hotel has free shuttle service and did I mention there is a lot of sunshine. The hotel has a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere, good food, a great pool, and wonderful staff. We visited downtown Tempe's historic district in January and really enjoyed all the little shops and amenities. The MPAEA board and the Arizona Association for Lifelong Learning would formally like to invite all Montana educators to the conference, April 21-24. Please visit the conference website for more information ( http://www.mpaea2010.org/ ). Scholarship applications for professional development (that can be used for a trip to Arizona's conference) are accessible at http://mpaea.org/scholarships.htm. Other scholarships include monies to help educators with innovative ideas in the classroom, the Teacher Innovation Scholarship, and monies for graduate work, the Memorial Scholarship for Graduate Studies. Come and join us in Arizona for a great professional development opportunity and a forum to network with educators from all of the participating states in the region. I look forward to seeing many of you in Tempe at the Fiesta Resort. Donna Bakke President-Elect MPAEA |
