REGIONAL MINI-GRANTS
Easy to apply – valuable opportunity for educators in your area!
What is it?
Regional Mini-grants in
the amount of $1,000 are being offered by the MAACE Board to provide funds for
educators to fund daylong professional development workshops within a region,
i.e. SW, NW, NE, and SE regions. The Board is offering these grants because of
comments by ABE teachers who feel that they don't often have opportunities to
get together with their colleagues just to share ideas, best practices, or to
talk about their concerns.
What's Required?
The major requirement is that the proposal must bring educators together to focus on an inservice interest or educational need. Some suggestions from the survey at Fall 2002 Conference include:
It doesn't
have to be so difficult or involved that it is impractical. Utilize those
"experts" in your area as presenters or facilitators.
How do I apply?
Grant proposals must be postmarked or electronically dated no later than December 6, 2002, to be considered. Send completed application to:
