Hi Everyone,
I am writing to encourage you to spread the word about the Meeting of the Minds symposium, a national adult education symposium on the theme of supporting student success. The symposium is an important opportunity for practitioners and researchers to meet to discuss research findings and information on accountability, policy, practice and research in the adult literacy field and ways to implement these findings into practice.
The symposium will be held on December 9-11, 2004, in Sacramento, California, and is sponsored by the National Center for the Study of Adult Learning and Literacy, the California Department of Education - Adult Education Office, and the California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project of the American Institutes for Research.
More information about the symposium theme of supporting student success, presentation topics, and logistics may be found at the following Web site: www.researchtopractice.org. You can register online for this event. Please share this information and Web site with your colleagues throughout the state. Please let me know if you have any questions about the symposium and I hope to see you there.
Thanks,
Larry Condelli
