Traci Birdsell has taught at the LCSC Adult Learning Center for the past three years.  Although she teaches a wide variety of subject areas, Traci tries to incorporate technology into each class.  During the previous two years, Terri Benson greatly improved our reading program.  Her students appreciate the hands-on activities and the personal connections she creates to their reading.  

Building Big was a wonderful team teaching experience.  This curriculum includes technology use, reality based simulations, and inexpensive, ready-to-go hands-on activities.  We used the curriculum as a base project and incorporated extension activities such as website scavenger hunts, field trips, and guest speakers.  This peaked students’ interests and connected their learning to real life applications.  We look forward to teaching Building Big again in the future.
