Learner Outcomes - Introduction |

Are you ready to implement this outcomes-based
curriculum? This section contains four parts: goal setting, family, community,
worker. Please notice the sequence of the materials for each part: a visual map,
followed by a Course Outcomes Guide (COG), and then a more detailed COG
comprising all levels of literacy instruction are provided for your ease of
reference and use.
We have placed “goal setting” first because it is
a primary framework and starting point for all learner-centered instruction.
Within this curriculum, learners set individual and family goals. This allows us
as teachers to more responsively meet the needs of our learners. Setting
individual and family goals gives us a “roadmap” for each learner and a
guide to follow in meeting their needs across these three roles.
