The foundation center: Your gateway to philanthropy on the
world wide web
The Foundation Center's mission is to support and improve
institutional philanthropy by promoting public understanding of the field and
helping grantseekers succeed. They
collect, organize, and communicate information on U.S. philanthropy; conduct and
facilitate research on trends in the field; provide education and training on
the grantseeking process; ensure public access to information and services
through their World Wide Web site, print and electronic publications, five
library/learning centers, and a national network of cooperating collections.
The Grantsmanship Center
TGCI offers grantsmanship training and low-cost
publications to nonprofit organizations and government agencies. TGCI is also
active in publishing. The Grantsmanship Center Magazine is mailed to the staff
of 200,000 nonprofit and government agencies in the U.S. and 58 other countries.
TGCI's Winning Grant Proposals Online collects the best of funded federal
grant proposals annually and makes them available on CD-ROM.
The TGCI proposal writing guide, Program Planning and Proposal Writing
(PP&PW), is the most widely read publication in nonprofit history.
