Discuss the difference between punishment and discipline. Discuss how websites such as this can be a useful tool when searching for answers to their question.

Each student will search the website parenthood.com and find helpful hints for each area designate on the handout. While the students are searching the web walk around and ask questions of the students in order to determine if they are able to locate the information.

How did the website activities contribute to student learning?

This activity shows the parents how to search for parenting information. It is one more learning tool accessible to them. It will allow the parent to obtain advice for their questions in the privacy of their own home if they have a computer.

Was the goal achieved? How do you know, i.e. what could the students do or do better as a result of the lesson?

All of the students successfully pulled up the website and researched several parenting skills. All of the students were able to fill out the handout and give a little information pertaining to what they found.
